The Graduate Record Examination

The Graduate Record Examination, or GRE, is required for admission to graduate schools in the US and Canada. The GRE has 3 parts–verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning (math), and analytical writing.

GRE SCORING

Verbal and Quantitative each 130–170
Analytical Writing 0-6

(Based on the performance of all individuals who tested between July 1, 2015, and June 30, 2018) 

Be sure to check with your desired program’s admissions department to find out what score ranges they accept.  This will help you set your target score.
